What is an upholstered bed, and why do hotels and guesthouses buy it?

An upholstered bed is a metal or timber bed frame with fabric-wrapped headboard, rails or platform. The frame carries the load, the upholstery carries the look. Zehao builds the two together: a welded steel frame underneath, and a padded, fabric-covered headboard on top, so a room gets the soft look of a fabric bed without giving up the strength or the flat-pack freight of a metal one.

Which upholstery fabrics hold up in hospitality use?

Zehao runs four main fabric families, each for a different job:

• Velvet — deep colour and a soft hand, used on the diamond-tufted and wingback ranges. Best for boutique and premium rooms.
• Linen and boucle — textured, natural-look finishes. Linen pairs with turned wood posts; boucle covers the shell-headboard queen range.
• PU leather — wipe-clean, used on gas-lift and lift-up storage beds where durability and easy cleaning matter.
• Woven fabric — charcoal grey and other solids for the metal-frame single beds, the workhorse of staff and budget guest rooms.

Single-bed buyers get the same design range on a metal frame — padded, square-tufted, diamond-stitched and grid-panel headboards across the MSB-61x and ZB-2908 lines.

What sizes does an upholstered bed come in?

Zehao standard sizes are single, double 137 cm, queen 153 cm and king 183 cm, all on a beech slat deck with no box spring. For OEM runs the outer dimensions, headboard height and rail height are set to your market's mattress standard, not ours.

Storage or not — gas lift, drawers or ottoman?

Three storage builds cover the common requests:

• Gas lift — the whole mattress rises on twin gas struts to open the full under-bed cavity (HM-LB-2611, MSB-615-3).
• Drawers — two wheeled drawers hidden in the footboard or under the rails (HM-LB-2605, HM-LB-2597).
• Ottoman — a bench at the foot that doubles as storage (HM-LB-2600).

How does Zehao build upholstered beds for export?

Every upholstered bed is a welded steel frame, foam-wrapped and upholstered in-house, then flat-packed KD into export cartons. Tube cutting, welding, upholstery and packing run under one roof, so the frame is straight, the fabric is tensioned on the frame it ships with, and one supplier owns the whole bed. Carton dimensions and a per-40HQ loading plan come with every quotation; assembly is bolt-together, two people, no special tools.
