How to specify a loft bed with desk
- Confirm ceiling height first. A loft bed needs clearance above the mattress for the user to sit up.
- Choose stairs over a ladder where the occupant uses the bed daily - stairs also give storage volume.
- Decide whether the desk is fixed or modular; modular units are easier to replace over a long service life.
