Military and Barrack Bunk Beds

Heavy-duty steel bunk beds built for military barracks, defence training camps, police accommodation and government labour housing — SGS tested to 200 kg per berth and supplied with the documentation a tender actually asks for.

We are Tianjin Zehao Furniture Co., Ltd., a metal bed manufacturer operating a 20,000 m² production site with monthly capacity above 8,000 steel bed sets. Institutional accommodation — worker dormitories, correctional facilities, staff housing and student residence — is our core business, and defence and government accommodation sits directly inside it.

Barrack furniture is bought differently from consumer furniture. It is bought against a specification document, on a delivery schedule tied to a handover date, and it is inspected on arrival. That is the buying process this page is written for.

Why defence and government buyers source barrack beds factory-direct

  • Certified strength, not claimed strength — The 200 kg per berth figure comes from an SGS test report on file, not a catalogue estimate.
  • Documentation that survives a tender — Drawings, SGS load-test reports, EN 747-1:2024 and EN 1725 conformity documents, CE declaration and ISO 9001:2015 are issued as a standard package.
  • Freight predictability — Knock-down flat-pack multiplies container load against assembled beds — the single largest cost lever on a remote-site project.
  • Mixed-SKU containers — Beds, triple tiers, lockers, storage and mattresses can be combined in one shipment to clear the MOQ threshold on each line.

And one that matters more than any single specification: a supplier who has already delivered into remote project sites understands that arrival condition, not departure condition, is what gets assessed.

How a barrack bed order is specified

  1. Send the room layout and berth count — A floor plan, a room schedule or simply the number of berths required is enough to start.
  2. State the configuration and dimensions — Twin-over-twin, triple tier or single; frame length and width; mesh or slat base.
  3. Name the standard and load rating your specification requires — This determines which frame gauge and which test documentation are needed. Naming it early avoids a redesign after production.
  4. Confirm the accessories and storage lines — Lockers, under-bed storage, stencilled unit markings and mattress specification, so all lines are settled at once.
  5. Receive a specification sheet, loading plan and quotation — Quantity, destination country and required certification are what we need to reply with all three.

Frequently asked questions

What load capacity do your military bunk beds have?

Every frame is SGS tested to 200 kg per berth. Where a defence or correctional specification calls for a heavier frame, the required load rating can be quoted on request against the project specification.

Can you supply to a government tender with full documentation?

Yes. We issue drawings, SGS load-test reports, EN 747-1:2024 and EN 1725 conformity documents, CE declaration and the ISO 9001:2015 certificate for tender submission.

What is the minimum order quantity for barrack bunk beds?

MOQ is 50 sets per model. Different models and sizes can be mixed inside one container to reach the volume.

How are the beds shipped to a remote camp or base?

All frames ship knock-down flat-packed. A 40ft high-cube container holds approximately 55 to 70 bunk-bed cartons depending on model, which reduces freight cost per berth and simplifies onward transport to site.

Do you offer custom sizes, colours and steel gauges?

Yes. Custom dimensions, tube thickness, RAL colour matching, bolt-on locker modules and stencilled unit markings are all available against your drawings.

Can barrack beds be supplied together with lockers and storage?

Yes. Lockers, storage cabinets and under-bed drawer units can be quoted on the same order and mixed into the same container as the beds, so accommodation furniture arrives as one shipment with one document set.

What are the payment and shipping terms?

T/T with 30 percent deposit and 70 percent against copy of B/L. FOB, CIF and DDP terms are supported. Loading is from Tianjin Xingang Port, China.

Can the beds be assembled on site without specialist tools?

Yes. The knock-down design assembles with standard hand tools, and illustrated assembly instructions plus a hardware kit are supplied per carton.
